Before or after viewing the exhibits in the visitor center, visitors are welcome to view the 7-minute film. This short video explains the importance of Russell Cave, diving into the four major time periods represented in the archeological collection. This video is available upon request and can be played throughout the day. The visitor center is open from 8:30 AM CT to 4:00PM CT.

The front entrance to the visitor center building has a steep incline and narrow doorway. For better access using a wheelchair, it is recommended that visitors use the rear entrance that has a more mild incline. The A/V room is an open space with movable chairs and space to accommodate wheelchairs of any size.Captioning is presented with the video with each playing.
