Guided tours include historic painting sites, stone walls, and a pond in addition to tours of the wildly artistic Weir House, Weir Studio and Young Studio. 2025 Tour Schedule Weir House and Studio Tours May: Saturday and Sunday; June – October: Wednesday to Sunday Tours start at the Weir House at 11:00, 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 Learn about the legacy of creativity started by America’s most beloved Impressionist, Julian Alden Weir, and the three generations of artists who called Weir Farm home while touring the wildly artistic Weir House, Weir Studio and Young Studio. Tours are first come, first served. No reservation or sign up required. Programs are subject to staff and volunteer availability. As staffing permits, additional tours of the Studios may be offered between 10:00 and 3:00. Buildings may close due to extreme weather (heat) or air quality conditions. Special Tours, Programs, and Workshops In-season, Weir Farm offers free outdoor programs including informal art instruction, Impressionist Painting Workshops, Yoga in the Garden, Wellness Walks, Pond Hikes, and more! Check the event calendar on the website, or join our email mailing list to receive e-flyers about our programs and events. Self-Guided Tour Visitors are welcome to tour the park year-round. Visit the park on your own using maps, brochures, self guided tours, the National Park Passport Stamp, and Junior Ranger activities located on the front porch of the visitor center, or visit virtually by exploring the resources here on the park website or the new National Park Service App! Group Visits If you are planning to bring a group that will arrive in 3 or more vehicles, please call (203) 834-1896 in advance to make arrangements. We encourage you to bring your friends and family, and appreciate carpooling when possible due to limited parking spaces available at the park. Accessibility

The Burlingham House Visitor Center includes an accessible entrance for those who use wheelchairs. The nearby Burlingham Barn has seasonal accessible restrooms. The museum exhibits also contain tactile exhibits and audio-visual elements for those who are blind or low-vision. Ask rangers at the front desk about assisted listening devices. The park film includes open captions. For an audio-described version of the park film, talk to the rangers at the front desk. The Weir House is wheelchair accessible. The Weir Studio and the Young Studio are not wheelchair accessible. Certified service animals are the only animals allowed in the visitor center, the Weir House, and the Weir and Young Studios.

Pets

Yes — You are welcome to walk your dog on a leash at Weir Farm National Historical Park, the Weir Preserve and the Nod Hill Refuge, the 110-acre network of hiking trails directly adjacent to the property. However, dogs are not allowed inside the Burlingham House Visitor Center, the Weir House, the Weir Studio, and the Young Studio. There is a pet waste station located near the parking lot entrance, please pick up after your pets.

Reservations

No — Parking is limited! Carpooling is encouraged and appreciated, and groups arriving in more than two cars must call ahead to make a reservation. If you plan to visit the park with a group arriving in more than two cars, please call ahead to make program and parking arrangements: 203-834-1896. Tour sizes are limited. Registration is managed at the Temporary Outdoor Visitor Center.
