Become a Bethune Council House Junior Ranger

Mary McLeod Bethune Council House National Historic Site

Come to the site to obtain a Junior Ranger book and complete it. When you complete it, you can mail or email it and a Park Ranger will sign your certificate and mail your official Junior Ranger badge

The NPS Junior Ranger Program is an activity based program conducted in almost all parks, and some Junior Ranger programs are national. To become a Mary McLeod Bethune Council House National Historic Site Junior Ranger, you can visit the site to grab the Junior Ranger Book. Once completed, mail your book to 1318 Vermont Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20005 or you can email it to bethunenhs@nps.gov. A Park Ranger will sign your certificate and mail your official Junior Ranger badge.

Parking is limited to on-street parking. For visitors with limited mobility, a photo guided tour for the second floor of the home can be provided.
