H.P. Williams Wayside Park
Big Cypress National Preserve
H.P. Williams Wayside Park is located immediately off of Highway 41. It includes a short boardwalk, picnic areas, and restrooms.
This is a great stop to stretch your legs and take a closer look at some of Big Cypress National Preserve's wildlife. A short boardwalk gives you a unique perspective of a human made drainage canal which is now inhabited by a wide range of wildlife. Fish, birds, turtles, snakes, and alligators frequent these waters. Take a closer look in the water and at the trees to discover who may be in the perfect spot for a great picture. This area also has several shaded picnic tables and restrooms. Right off of Highway 41, this is a great stop to see and learn about the wildlife of the swamp.

This area is highly accessible. There is paved sidewalks which lead directly to ramp on the boardwalk. The boardwalk is wide enough for nearly all types of wheelchairs. There are handrails on both sides of the boardwalk. To get to the picnic tables you have to walk across a short section of well mowed grass which could be potentially difficult for some.
