Join a ranger for a guided walking tour along Broad Street to the fort site to learn about the history of the area. Guided tours are available daily at 11:15 AM and 2:15 PM when staffing permits. Ask about if a tour will be offered the day of your visit.
The history of Frederica is significant, though mainly below the ground. Archaeological investigation gives us clues into life on the Georgia frontier during the 18th century. Join a ranger for a guided walking tour along Broad Street to the fort site to learn about the history of this British military town. Discover stories about key figures in Frederica's founding. Rangers will use virtual reality to recreate many of the structures to provide insight into how the town looked during British colonization. Guided tours are available daily at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM when staffing permits. Ask if a tour will be offered the day of your visit. The Town Tour follows Broad Street and concludes at the King's Magazine by the Frederica River. This is a distance of 1/4 mile one way. Please be prepared to backtrack this distance. Visitors with physical disabilities may be guided by golf cart. Ask a ranger when visiting if this is available.
