The Self-Guided Walking Tour of Plains, is one that occurs on both city streets, sidewalks, and crosses roads and busy highways. The total length of the tours is about 2 miles. For those with mobility issues it can be challanging as the sidewalk can be narrow and uneven in places. The use of crosswalks in the downtown area is highly suggested.
Yes — Most of the walking tour is outside, however pets are not allowed in Plains High School, Plains Depot, and the businesses downtown. Service Dogs are allowed at all locations. A Service Dog is trained to do particular tasks for a person with a physical or mental disability.
