Tour Kennesaw Mountain NBP's Museum
The musuem is accessed from our Visitor Center. The entrance is just beyond the front desk, past the front portion of the bookstore. The museum as a whole is a great way for either the history buff to get reaquainted, or for the newer visitor to start from scratch. The large timeline outside of the entrance highlights some of the major historical events, beginning in 1860, to get the visitor caught up to the Atlanta Campaign and Battle of Kennesaw Mountain in 1864. Chronologically, the museum's story starts in 1864.Through artifacts, tangible items, various stories and primary sources, the museum helps to not only tell the story of the Atlanta Campaign, but to put it into context of the larger Civil War.
