Take a short .3 mile (.5 km) roundtrip walk out to Leleiwi Overlook. Pass native plants on your way to a spectacular view of the crater and the Koʻolau Gap.

Get out and stretch your legs on this short hike out to Leleiwi Overlook. Halfway between the Headquarters Visitor Center by the entrance and the Haleakalā Visitor Center at the summit, Leleiwi offers the perfect opportunity to take in the changing scenery and walk through a native Hawaiian shrubland.
