Get Started at the Visitor Center

Herbert Hoover National Historic Site

Start your visit at the Visitor Center, where park rangers are available to answer questions and help you get oriented. Allow yourself up to 30 minutes in the Visitor Center, which is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.

Get Started Pick up the official national park map and guide and download the mobile app, stamp your Passport, and find the activity books to become Junior Rangers. You can watch Adventure and Great Undertakings: Herbert Hoover's Childhood in West Branch in the theater or at home by following the link! Then, enjoy exploring! Bookstore & National Parks Passes Books, educational items, and gifts are available for purchase from the Eastern National Bookstore inside the Visitor Center. Rangers issue free federal recreation lands passes (Access, Military, and 4th Grade passes) at the visitor center. Senior and Annual passes are not sold at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site.
