Permanent galleries exhibiting artifacts of President Hoover's life take you from his boyhood in Iowa, through his public service career, and final years in New York.
Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum is a must-see for anyone wishing to learn about the life and presidency of Herbert Hoover. Permanent galleries exhibiting artifacts of President Hoover's life take you from his boyhood in Iowa and Oregon, through his education at Stanford, his life as a globe-trotting mining engineer, his long and distinguished public service career, and onto a recreated Waldorf Towers apartment in New York where he spent his final years. Allow at least one hour to see the 22-minute film American Adventure and to tour the permanent galleries. Visitors may purchase tickets in the museum lobby.

The Presidential Library & Museum has no steps. The museum galleries, gift shop, water fountain, and restrooms are all wheelchair accessible. The movie is captioned and wheelchair seating is available in the back row. Portions of the permanent exhibits are available on captioned video.
