Living History Programs
Come join staff and volunteers at Fort Scott as they bring the 1840s to life by dressing in period clothing. At select times during the summer, the site features demonstrations such as historic cooking, artillery drills, and flag retreat ceremonies. You can also see costumed interpreters portraying laundresses, soldiers, surgeons, and other residents of Fort Scott in the 1840s
