Ranger Programs Nicodemus National Historic Site offers different ranger programs about Nicodemus' history. Rangers programs are available by request with no scheduled time. You may also request a program ahead of time by contacting us. Availability depends on time of year and staffing. Programs for Groups Are you interested in visiting Nicodemus with a group? Would you like to bring your class to Nicodemus or have Nicodemus come to your class? We can develop special programs for different groups too! Contact us to start planning a unique Nicodemus experience. Special Events Special events happen throughout the year, like Homecoming programs, special speakers, and holiday programs. Special events will be announced on our social media and on our News page. Guided Town Tours Want to really dive into the history of Nicodemus? Ask a ranger to take you on a guided walking tour of Nicodemus and its five historic buildings. The walking tour route is about 0.6 miles (1 kilometer) and takes approximately 30-45 minutes. The path follows both paved and dirt roads.

This walk follows both paved and dirt roads and can be completed by foot, bicycle, in motorized vehicles, and with pets. The route does follow active roads that vehicles use.
Yes — Pets are only allowed outside park buildings and must be kept on a leash.
Yes — Reservations are not required, but if you are interested in bringing a group to Nicodemus, we recommend that you contact us to ensure staff are available.
