Discover the significant and unique history of Mill Springs Battlefield National Monument by completing our Junior Ranger Activity Booklet, and earn your very own Junior Ranger Badge in the process! What is a Junior Ranger? A Junior Ranger is an individual dedicated to the protection and preservation of America's National Parks. They explore the nation's beautiful and significant historic and natural resources, learn about history and nature, and share that knowledge and adventures with friends, family, and schoolmates. By spreading that knowledge, they further the preservation of our nation's history and resources. How Can You Become a Junior Ranger? The Mill Springs Battlefield Junior Ranger book includes place-based activitied that are to be completed on a visit to the park. If needed, you can send a request for Junior Ranger books to be mailed out to a given address, through many of the activities can only be completed in person. When you visit Mill Springs Battlefield National Monument, come to the Visitor Center to pick up your Mill Springs Battlefield Junior Ranger Activity book. Inside the front cover are directions on how many activities you will need to complete based on your age in order to earn your Junior Ranger Badge. Keep in mind that the activities do not need to be completed in order, pick the ones that seem the most fun to you!

The Junior Ranger booklet is a 12-page book recommended for 5 and up. If you are not able to pick up the book in person, we can mail a booklet to you. If you were not able to finish the book while at the park you can mail it to us, and we will send you a badge.
