Kids of all ages can participate in the Star-Spangled Banner Trail Junior Ranger program. The Junior Ranger booklet is full of activities that can be completed to earn a Junior Ranger badge.

Begin your explorations right from your computer while you earn a Junior Ranger Badge! As a Junior Ranger you will learn about: War of 1812 in Chesapeake the origin of Star-Spangled Banner (both the national anthem and the flag!) what you can do as a Junior Ranger to help the Chesapeake Bay. PLUS you earn a special badge to show that you are an official Junior Ranger for the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail. It's easy and it's fun. Here's how: Download the Junior Ranger activity booklet. Read the instructions in the introduction. Take a "virtual tour" of the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail. You'll find all the information you need on this website to become a Junior Ranger for the trail. Complete the activity pages for your age group. Send the completed pages and your signed Junior Ranger Pledge to: Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail Junior Ranger Program Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine 2400 East Fort Avenue Baltimore, MD 21230-5393 A park ranger will review your work. The ranger will mail you a badge and certify you as an official Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail Junior Ranger.
