Challenge 2: Focus on Nature

Harry S Truman National Historic Site

Enjoying nature, whatever season, can do wonders for you!

Bring a notebook and pencil to record native trees, shrubs, flowers and vines at the Truman Home or the Truman Farm. While identifying historic plant and flower species, reflect on the beauty of the natural environment and the change of seasons. How would you describe this place? What captures your attention? What sparks your curiosity? For more information on the plants and flowers found in the park, visit the Harry S. Truman plant information page. (Be mindful of things like poison ivy, poison oak, etc!)
