Challenge 3: Pat the Gingko Tree
Harry S Truman National Historic Site
While on his famous walks in his neighborhood, Harry Truman loved a particular Ginkgo tree. He always told it it was doing a great job. It's one of the oldest trees in Independence, Missouri.
Pause and reflect at an historic Gingko Tree. Truman would pass by the tree on his daily walk on West Maple Street and give it a pat of admiration before moving about his day. Give the tree a pat and take a moment to admire its natural beauty as Truman did each day. The Ginkgo tree is included as a stop on the Truman Historic Walk. Please be mindful that the tree is on private property. A historic plaque is embedded in the sidewalk in front of this home.
