Bandelier Wildlife Viewing

Bandelier National Monument

Wildlife is always in the park but not always easy to see. Keep your eyes open as you hike the trails and be amazed at what you may find.

Bandelier National Monument has a wide variety of mammals, birds, and reptiles with some unique creatures such as Abert's Squirrels. Different animals can be found at different times of the year and in a variety of locations. Remember, always keep your distance from the wildlife (especially the big ones) and try not to cause them to change their behavior. A long lens is recommended for photography.
