Locations of picnic areas in Petroglyph National Monument.

Picnic tables are located at two sites within Petroglyph National Monument and are available on a first come, first served basis. Boca Negra Canyon There are three shaded picnic pavilions located at Boca Negra Canyon. Each pavilion has one picnic table and a trash can. The picnic area is located midway between the parking lots for the Mesa Point Trail and the Macaw/Cliff Base Trails. Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Last entry at 4:00 PM daily. Dogs and other pets are not allowed. Service animals are welcome. Rinconada Canyon There are two unshaded picnic tables located in the parking lot island at Rinconada Canyon. Trash cans are available. Parking lot hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. Sunrise to sunset access by parking outside gated lot. Dogs on a leash are welcome.
