Have you ever wanted to become a time traveler? Visit the historic fort during the summer months and try one of the many historic activities that would have been happening there.
Have you ever wanted to join the Continental Army? Fire a cannon? Learn how to card wool? Become a TIME TRAVELER? Througout the summer months at Fort Stanwix National Monument, their are many opportunities to do just that. Living history programs and demonstrations run every day and vary from week to week. One day, you might be able to help a campfollower with the laundry; the next a family with their chores; and the day after that be the commander of a cannon crew! Fort Stanwix is a very "hands on" park and can be fun for the whole family!

Summer
Reconstructed Fort Accessible parking is reserved in a pull-off in front of the fort. All introductory videos are open captioned and FM assistive listening devices are available upon request. Not all areas in the fort are accessible. Ramps can be made available by request to tour the inside buildings of the parade ground. Service Animals Service animals are welcome at Fort Stanwix National Monument. Please keep in mind that some living history demonstrations, like cannon firing or musket firing demonstrations that take place in the reconstructed fort, can be stressful and scary for our animal companions.
Yes — All pets must be controlled on leash while walking trails and inside the historic fort. Waste must be bagged and properly disposed. Do not let your animals harass the local wildlife. Only service animals are allowed inside the park visitor centers.
