Sagamore Hill offers outdoor programs on weekends, weather permitting. Join a Ranger for a walk around the grounds or a chat on the porch. On days when we aren't offering programs - or if you ever have a question - find a Ranger! We're here to help you enjoy your time at the Roosevelts' home.
Ever wondered what the Roosevelts did at Sagamore Hill? They farmed, played, raised pets, fished, swam, rowed, and took care of each other! When the weekend weather cooperates, join one of our outdoor programs and learn a little more about the Roosevelts of Sagamore Hill. (When you arrive, check with the Rangers or Volunteers at the Information Tent for program details.) And don't be shy! If you ever have a question about how the Roosevelts lived while you're at Sagamore Hill, find a Ranger! We love to talk about TR and his family, and we'd love to talk to you.

Day
While most outdoor programs at Sagamore Hill used paved, accessible paths, any programs utilizing the Nature Trail will not. We ensure that visitors are made aware of which paths we will be using for each program. The Nature Trail is 0.7 miles loop trail that is about eight feet wide and has some steep grades. The trail surface is packed dirt in the woodland section, a boardwalk over the marsh, and loose sand and pebbles on the beach section.
