Explore Park Grounds

Sagamore Hill National Historic Site

Our park-like grounds are a great place to relax and unwind, just the Roosevelts used to.

Come enjoy the grounds of Sagamore Hill! Walk our paths, hike our nature trail, visit the beach, or simply relax and enjoy the park on one of the benches we have in our meadows, woods, and surrounding the historic home. The Roosevelts came here to unwind and relax, away from the public eye and the scrutiny of life in New York or Washington. We encourage you to do the same. Find a nice place to sit, and see if you can understand why Theodore Roosevelt chose this spot for his summer retreat.
