Johnstown Flood National Memorial

Tales of the Great Flood cover a wide variety of topics relating to the Johnstown Flood.

Ranger programs conclude for the season on September 1, 2025. Tales of the Great Flood ranger talks take place in the Visitor Center theater between showings of the park film, “Black Friday.” The daily programs begin on June 6, 2025. Talks are approximately 15-minutes in length and cover a variety of topics relating to the Johnstown Flood and time period. Tales of the Great Flood program times: 9:55 a.m., 10:55 a.m., 11:55 a.m., 1:55 p.m., 2:55 p.m. and 3:55 p.m. No reservations are required. The talks are staff dependent.

Theater: It is on the upper level of the Visitor Center. Accessible seating is available at the top of the theater. Lake View House: An elevator is available to access the doors on the lower level of the Visitor Center that will take visitors outside to the program location.
