Evening on the Lake presentations are on select Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Club House during the summer months.
Evening on the Lake programs are select Tuesday evenings throughout the summer at 7:00 p.m. in the Club House building located at 186 Main Street in St. Michael. No reservations are required for these programs. Our Evening on the Lake series is sponsored by Friends of Johnstown Flood National Memorial. June 24, 2025- Cambria Memory Project The Cambria Memory Project "will collect and digitize all items associated with the history of Cambria County." There are various documents in the 1889 Johnstown Flood Collection; including the Book of the Dead, deeds, items digitized from the Cambria County Historical Society and photographs. This program is presented by Dr. Barb Zaborowski. July 29, 2025- What We've Learned about the Cottages Documents discovered from the collection of John Kephart, at the Cambria County Historical Society led society members and park staff to determine the original owners of all sixteen cottages. These cottages were owned by members of the South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club and sat along Lake Conemaugh. Participants will learn about the cottages and their respective owners. This program is presented by Supervisory Park Ranger Doug Bosley. August 26, 2025- Grandview Cemetery The program will explore the history of Grandview Cemetery and why it was established. Many notable people associated with the Johnstown Flood are buried here. The cemetery includes the Unknown Plot, dedicated to the unidentified victims of the Great Flood. This program is presented by Park Ranger Elizabeth Shope.

There are no designated accessible parking spots in the gravel lot. There is a ramp from the parking lot to the porch. There are high thresholds from the porch doors to the building interior. Presentations and restrooms are located on the first floor.
