How to become a Junior Ranger at Andrew Johnson NHS
Welcome to the Andrew Johnson NHS Jr Ranger Page! There are two ways to become a Junior Ranger at Andrew Johnson - one is on-site with a booklet - the other is virtually from your computer. On-Site To complete the on-site Junior Ranger program, start at the Visitor Center and ask the Ranger or Volunteer at the desk for a Jr Ranger packet. You just need to finish at least five of the activities in the booklet. While working on the booklet, you visit the different areas of the park - the Visitor Center/Museum, the Tailor Shop, the Early Home, the Homestead, and the Cemetery. When you are done, bring your booklet back to the Visitor Center so the Ranger or Volunteer on duty can check your booklet and award you a Junior Ranger badge!
