Check-out a Junior Ranger Discovery Pack

Calling all Junior Rangers! We encourage families and groups visiting with children to check out a free Junior Ranger Discovery Pack from the Malaquite Visitor Center. Each pack contains an variety of educational field guides, equipment, and supplies for those who are eager to learn about Padre Island while exploring the park. Each pack includes all of the following: Activity Guide Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethic Reference Cards (English and Spanish) Clipboard, Pencil, and Observation Sheets Field Guides Birds Butterflies Fish Raptors Sea Turtles Sharks Shells Shorelife Wildflowers Binoculars Magnifying Glass Magnifying Box Petri Dish Ruler Up2U Mesh Trash Bag Returning the Pack When you are finished exploring the park, return your Junior Ranger Discovery Pack to the Malaquite Visitor Center before the end of the day (4:45 PM). Thank you for keeping track of the pack’s contents! While we won’t charge for any missing items upon return, we do appreciate your help in keeping everything together. (As fellow educators, we understand that things occasionally go missing!) Please use the included checklist grid to help account for all equipment and supplies before returning the pack.
