Paddling the rivers can be as short as two hours or as long as five days.

The rivers of the Namekagon and St. Croix consist of rocky and sandy bottoms and large boulders and snags within. River depth varies from ankle deep to 20 to 30 feet deep. The river generally runs as a Class I with a speed of two to three miles an hour. During spring runoff or heavy rain events, the rivers can be Class II or III. Service animals are allowed.
Yes — Pets allowed but leashed at all times. Pets are not allowed in park buildings.
No — A free camping permit is required to camp south of Highway 8 to the Soo-Line High Bridge.
All ages are welcome, but minors under 18 years old must be with an adult parent or guardian.
