I reached out to this office to ask basic questions about appointments and pricing, and the staff was incredibly short, dismissive, and uninterested in being helpful. Simple questions were met with one-word answers and an attitude that made it clear they didn’t care unless you were ready to pay immediately. What stood out most was how aggressively money-focused the interaction felt. Pricing was vague, high, and pushed without any clear explanation of what was included, which came across as cash-hungry and bordering on price gouging. There was zero effort to explain value, insurance options, or alternatives — just “this is the price, take it or leave it.” Healthcare offices should treat people like patients, not transactions. Between the rude communication and the pressure to pay inflated prices up front, I decided to take my business elsewhere.
When I first found Dr. Mathur I was in a frustrated state about my health. It wasn't terrible but it certainly wasn't great -- I felt worse overall, I would get sick 4 or 5 times a year where I hadn't before and while I know age is part of the picture, I had always been a very healthy and active person. I eat really well, live a healthy lifestyle, all that jazz. To me, in my gut, the math wasn't adding up and something was off. I'm not an anti-western medicine person whatsoever however my instincts were telling me that the medical advice and answers I was getting (or not getting) were not sufficient. I often felt dismissed or told with a verbal shrug, "hard to know...." with a pill or another visit to another specialist with another test as the answer. I was troubled because I felt something else was happening with no one to help me find the root causes of what seemed like a slow decline in my overall health and well-being. . Functional medicine was always in my mind as a potential path and at this point I felt like nothing else was working and I wanted to understand my body and what was fixable. My energy was low, I didn't look like myself when I looked in the mirror – and it wasn't just age, aging is natural and I'm not afraid of it but I didn't look healthy, vibrant, and certainly didn't feel it. I was operating on half a tank of fuel no matter what I did or did not do. Tests came back inconclusive and I was left feeling like maybe I was exaggerating things. Now I can see that is not the case at all. As of writing this, it's been 4 months and all I can say is I have zero regrets starting this process with Dr. Mathur. She is brilliant, she is straightforward, and she is completely invested in my health as much as I am. Our first session together was over an hour if that says anything -- it was just the intake session and she wanted to understand the history and "story" of my health as it relates to everything else. One of the things I'm seeing maybe more than anything else is a mindset shift as well as physical and energetic improvements. Physically I feel different -- I feel so much better, I'm sleeping much better, I look better -- more alive, energized, lighter -- and people have said so. I feel stronger – able to go back to the gym which six months ago was a struggle like pushing a rock up a mountain. When I first started she asked me what my energy level was and I reported a 6 of 10. Just yesterday when she asked me again I was trying to think of a reason why I wouldn't say a 10! Was it possible I could even have more energy??? I didn't think so...and that floored me. The thing that I'm seeing however is that my mindset is so focused on certainty. I want a pill to fix something immediately, I want to test to find out the answer immediately. And I'm realizing working with her that it's a process and one thing activates something else which unlocks something else… It's reminding me that my body is a whole system and I have to be patient but also I have to be much more tuned in than I'm used to. If something works or doesn't work I have to stay curious about why instead of throw my hands up in the air and expect my doctor to do all of the work. It's a mindset of being interested and responsible for my health. Dr. Mathur is more of a health partner than I've had with any of my other doctors. Her knowledge is vast and she is very interested in both Long Covid effects and women's hormonal health, which are 2 areas that I feel were contributing to my situation and yet got very little support in the current health landscape. I wanted to leave this review for anyone who is feeling frustrated with the lack of answers they are getting from their doctors, or having the gut feeling that you should be looking into alternative medicine to compliment what you're currently doing. Dr. Mathur has a lot of integrity and if you're committed to getting healthier she is a fantastic ally. Plus, everyone -- literally every other person there at the office -- is fabulous, friendly, caring, and compassionate.
When I first walked in here, mid-December 2024, I was practically dead from chemo and radiation poisoning. I could hardly talk, was in constant pain, and had bad stomach issues. The program that Dr. Anju Mathur M.D. created for me saved my life. I would recommend the Angel Longevity Medical Center to anyone suffering from anything physical. In just four months, I was back slowly working out again, and now after nine months, I have my energy back and I'm fully productive. Dr. Mathur is not only an M.D., she is also a homeopath, which gives her the perfect balance to cure any ailment you might be having. What can I say? I'm happy, I'm healthy, and I love this place and the sweet, kind medical aids that work there. I will forever be indebted to Dr. Mathur for saving my life.
All the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, I've never had an unpleasant visit in their office! Dr. Mathur is extremely knowledgeable and from my very first visit with her, I felt she was genuinely determined to help me resolve my issues. Through various tests, evaluations, and treatments, I've gotten more results from her care in 2 months than I've gotten from any other doctor in the last 2 years of experiencing symptoms.
This is a fantastic office, I feel so much better since I started a little over a year ago! Sleep much better, hot flashes 95% gone, and feel calmer and more in touch with my femininity, more vibrant and zest for life. She also has me on very low dosages. Thorough blood testing is done before every visit so she KNOWS exactly what you need. The staff are warm and professional. The ivy treatments are also very effective and have helped me boost my immune system. This program is life changing, we don’t have to suffer anymore just because we’re in that mid-life time of life with the treatments they offer.
