Austin Women's Boxing Club es un centro de fitness de primer nivel dedicado a empoderar a las mujeres a través del boxeo y el entrenamiento de fuerza. Ubicado en Austin, TX, ofrece un entorno acogedor y exclusivamente femenino, donde personas de todos los niveles pueden aprender la técnica adecuada, ganar confianza y alcanzar sus metas de fitness. Clases introductorias para mujeres que se inician en el boxeo, centradas en técnicas básicas, trabajo de pies y seguridad en un entorno de apoyo.
Clases de sparring estructuradas para miembros experimentados para refinar habilidades, aumentar la resistencia y prepararse para competencias.
Sesiones de acondicionamiento físico de alta intensidad que combinan ejercicios de boxeo con entrenamiento de fuerza para mejorar la salud física general.
Evaluaciones regulares para obtener bandas de colores (similar a cinturones de artes marciales), que permiten seguir el progreso y motivar a los miembros.
Reuniones sociales y talleres especiales para fomentar la conexión, mejorar las habilidades y promover el bienestar entre los miembros.
There are days when life feels overwhelming but stepping into Austin Women’s Boxing Club is always the reset I need. The energy, the coaches and the women here remind me what I’m capable of. I’ve gained strength, skills, and most importantly confidence in myself. What started as four visits a month has turned into multiple times a week because I love how this gym makes me feel. 10/10 recommend.
Came to a beginner workshop (no prior boxing experience) because I was curious and interested - ended up loving it! It’s been about a month now and AWBC is a supportive environment to work out and learn boxing technique. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get into the sport or get a good workout in! But what I love the most is the sense of community and how welcoming everyone is!! Best gym experience I’ve had
I joined Austin Women’s Boxing Club in December 2022 looking for a fun way to get into shape and to help me regain a sense of strength after a tumultuous year. What I found was so much more than a gym - Coach Julia has cultivated a wonderful community here. I quickly found myself signing up for 4-5 classes a week and looking forward to seeing familiar faces in the group. I even requested changes to my schedule at work to accommodate additional boxing classes. I love all of the coaches and each of their unique teaching styles. Their passion for the sport comes through in the attention to detail and sincere and individualized feedback they provide. I love coming here and interacting with absolutely anyone. I can genuinely say that this is one of the most supportive, kindest, welcoming, and inclusive groups of individuals I’ve ever met, and I look forward to coming to the gym every day and always leave with a smile.
I love being a member of Austin Women’s Boxing Club. There are lots of classes throughout the week so it’s easy to fit into my schedule. All of the instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and badass! The classes are challenging, but welcome all fitness levels. They have a sparring class on Saturday mornings. It’s my favorite! When I first started I was really out of shape and the coaches were very helpful giving me modifications. I was new to Austin when I joined and have made a lot of friends here! One of my favorite things about the gym is they have tests throughout the year to earn color bands (similar to martial arts belts). When you first join you’re a white band. Last year I earned my yellow band which was a big accomplishment for me! Since joining I have lost 20 lbs (and counting.) I couldn’t even do a plank and now I can hold one for several minutes, do push-ups and dead hangs. I highly recommend joining this gym. It’s changed my life!
It was my first time in, first time being apart of any gym, with no prior boxing experience or knowledge. Usually I might be intimadated or self conscious that I dont know enough, but these ladies really make you feel apart of the team! They are great to work with and have a lot of patience to help you learn regardless of your skill level! I really look forward to going back to Austin Boxing Babes and learning more. UPDATE 5/20/2019: Over a year later and I’m still training in boxing and martial arts. The people at this gym are like family! Going here has improved my confidence and overall well-being!
