Great little spot. Service is consistent, warm & attentive. Food is hot, tasty and fresh. We had the set menu which was perfect no hassle option and very generous. Good wine list and cocktails. I’ve been twice lately and both times had a great experience. Lighting is low and the soft finishes mute the nearby conversations well.
Black Hide Caxton Street doesn’t miss — steaks cooked right, flavours that speak for themselves, and service that actually keeps pace. If you want a steakhouse that delivers consistency without the usual pretentious nonsense, this is the one. #Bestfood #Deliciousfood #BlackHideCaxtonStreet #SteakHouseAU #BrisbaneEats #AustraliaFoodScene #SteakLoversAU #FoodieAustralia
I came here for dinner with my partner. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Our server, Danielle, was very friendly, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. The only downside is that there’s no dedicated parking area, so you need to plan ahead and check the traffic before coming.
We came back here to celebrate our second wedding anniversary as we had loved it when we first came before our wedding. Unfortunately the quality of some of the food seems to have gone down. I can only comment on the chips (pictured) which were $14 a bowl but were hard or starchy and flavourless. If anything they tasted fishy, or like they had been fried somewhere fish was also fried. For such a restaurant I would expect better. The service was excellent, in that they did bring us an alternative bowl of chips and they said that the first ones were house made and the second were frozen. The frozen ones were honestly so much better. I am a chip expert (I’ve had a lot) and was very disappointed. The sirloin was delicious and cooked perfectly. Again, very good steak but for the price not sure if it’s worth it. They also gave us complementary ice cream scoop which was lovely.
Amazing eye fillet steak and the best steak tartare ever tasted. Tasty octopus side and grilled zucchini. Nice cav sav 2021 Margaret River to pair with the main. Service could be better. Second time dining here had below average service.
