Nastiest environment. Terrible staff. So rude and very unwelcoming. Best to take your money elsewhere and every single person who goes here is in competition and the trainers are all so very rude and treat people poorly. Also my little sister came with me to take a tour and on of the trainers gave her dirty looks and said excuse me in the rudest tone ever when no one was in her way… how is it possible a nearly 30 yr old woman can be rude to a pre-teen girl. The jealousy here is unreal.I signed up for a membership and wanted to attend a class. But It’s just a bunch of insecure women who come here trying to one up each other even though the people who go here don’t have a nice figure and neither do those who work here. I felt so uncomfortable being here and they definitely hate on people who have a naturally small frame. If you look good you will get treated badly here.
Club Studio LB does a great job of finding a perfect balance between affordability and luxury. Highlights include rarely if ever having to wait for a preferred machine; unlimited classes, including reform pilates, spin, boxing, and HIIT circuit training; and joining a community of respectful, supportive people serious about fitness, which is all the more motivating. Most of the staff go above and beyond in being kind and attentive, and facilities and amenities are kept pretty clean. The recovery lab is a nice touch as well, which includes leg compression machines, red light therapy, cryotherapy, hyrdromassages, etc. — pretty bougie and a nice upgrade. Friday and weekend hours don’t go late as a head’s up, but overall this gym is well-worth the price in my opinion. Special thanks to Omdi & Jojo for making the onboarding process as smooth as can be.
I’ve been a loyal member since the beginning and have always supported this gym. I even referred several of my own wellness clients here because I truly believed in what they offered. But after my recent experience, I’m so disappointed. I reached out to freeze my membership while I’d be out of town due to the sudden death of a loved one, and instead of compassion or understanding, I was met with rudeness and defensiveness. The Operations Manager, Ricky, talked over me, interrupted, and made me feel like I was being difficult for simply asking for help. He told me my only options were to freeze starting December 10 (when I’d already be back in town) or cancel my membership entirely. When I called again to confirm I wouldn’t be billed - since I’d given notice in accordance with California’s cancellation laws - the staff member I spoke with actually laughed at me. In that moment, I felt like my situation didn’t matter at all. It felt like I was just another number, not a person who’d been part of this community from day one. I want to be clear that the Pilates instructors, especially Alyssa and Karen, are incredible - they’re compassionate, talented, and the reason I stayed as long as I did. But leadership and management have lost sight of what wellness really means. It’s not just about policies and payments — it’s about people. I truly hope they take this as an opportunity to reflect and do better. No one deserves to be treated this way when they’re simply trying to do the right thing during a difficult time.
I’m obsessed with this gym and would recommend it to anyone. Unlimited reformer Pilates classes included in the membership puts it above all boutique studios easily. Not to mention the unlimited choreographed cycling classes, boxing, hot pilates, hot yoga/sculpt/flow/restorative classes, and CS4 (a unique circuit training class I’m obsessed with) INCLUDED with full high quality gym equipment. I’ve been going for 2 months now and take 5 classes a week with weight lifting on the side, unbeatable price (200-250 a month) if you utilize all aspects the gym has to offer. Staff is constantly cleaning the facility and locker rooms to the point where I’m almost annoyed at their presence 🤣 I loveeee the cleanliness, lack of overcrowding, enthusiasm and very informative instructors. I would pay for the cleanliness and lack of crowding alone. Only cons are no pool or courts of any kind, it is on the smaller side for a gym but not a problem at all for me. I’ve been to Cyclebar, SoulCycle, GritCycle, etc. and this offers the same boutique experience plus soooo much more. Totally worth it 10/10 everyone should go here!
Overall clean facilities and equipment is almost always available, those are the only positive aspects of this place. The reality is, it tries really hard to be a fancy La fitness and doesn’t realize it failed. It has no pool, no basketball or racquetball courts, closes earlier than most gyms, and if you sign in at 735 to your class that starts at 735 you will likely not get in :)
