Formal Complaint Regarding Aggressive and Discriminatory Conduct by Your Manager I am writing to express my serious concern regarding an extremely aggressive and unprofessional encounter I had with your manager while carrying out my work duties. Due to the nature of our job, my colleague and I temporarily parked in front of your business while servicing the market next door. We made sure not to block your driveway or impede your business operations in any way. We were away from the vehicle for no more than 5–6 minutes. Upon returning, your manager aggressively approached our vehicle and demanded that we move immediately. We calmly informed him that we were preparing to leave and would be gone within a minute or two. At this point, his behaviour escalated dramatically. He became verbally abusive, made offensive gestures, and directed racially charged remarks toward us after noticing our skin colour. He then proceeded to physically challenge us, telling us to get out of the vehicle and attempting to instigate a confrontation. This entire incident was recorded and documented. I strongly urge the business owner to address this matter seriously. This type of behaviour is unacceptable, unprofessional, and creates a hostile and unsafe environment for workers and members of the public. No one should be subjected to intimidation, racial abuse, or aggressive conduct while simply doing their job. To anyone reading this: until this individual is dealt with appropriately, I would advise caution when engaging with this business, especially if you are a person of colour. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and handled accordingly.
Bit of an unusual review: I didn't actually get my car repaired here, but I'm leaving a review because I was very impressed by the help they gave me over the phone. Specifically, I called thinking that I was being ripped off by my dealership and pretty much offered myself as a new customer on a silver platter. But the gentleman I spoke to, after hearing the details, said that actually I would be better off proceeding with the dealership, explaining the ways in which they would be better suited for the repair in my specific situation. I thought this was very honest and commendable. Kudos!
Dave is the most honest tech I’ve worked with. My wife’s Audi was quoted $28,000 in repairs at Audi Vancouver, including ~$2,000 just for a door-handle issue. They even took the door apart and charged $400+ to “inspect” it. Dave at Continental fixed the door handle at no charge and told me what the car actually needed: new tires and front control arms. Eight months later, the brakes are still fine, exactly as he said. Routine servicing at Continental has also been far cheaper than the dealer. Clear explanations, no pressure, and work done right. After this experience, I’ll stick with Continental and won’t be returning to the dealer.
Needed some service work on my 128i before a short road trip. Unfortunately I had left it a little late to book. Thanks to Dave and David for getting me in on short notice. Issue resolved and car ran great for the trip. Will definitely be back for future servicing!
