I had a really upsetting experience today around 2PM with a front desk employee with two side braided brunette hair at Tulsa 91st & Memorial location. I signed up mostly for the Hydro massage bed with occasionally using the sauna & taking Zumba classes. I had used a Hydro massage bed once & went back to the front desk to request for a second activation. I hadn’t had any issues at Broken Arrow location nor at this location with the 2nd activation request until today. The female employee, out of the blue, stated that I couldn’t use the Hydro twice if there’s a waiting but, it’s okay this time because there’s no waiting, and that she’s just letting me know. She picked ME & TODAY to let EVERYONE (?) know??? She said it with such a condescending tone, I felt like I was a kid getting a lecture from an adult for something I should or I shouldn’t do! Furthermore, unless I am an idiot, why would I ask for a second activation if there’s a waiting???!!!
BUYER BEWARE!! I usually do not submit bad reviews for businesses. But, I feel like this issue definitely needs to be heard by future customers/clients. Crunch fitness has charged me multiple times a month on more than one occasion for my membership fees. When I call up there to try and straighten things out they always have some kind of crazy excuse. They claim that I will get an automatic refund but it will take 3 to 6 weeks. Or, I had the option to let the excess charges pay for the next months membership dues. Even though I disputed both of those options they didn't care at all. Absolutely no compassion and probably the most horrible customer service I've ever had. It was Christmas time and they overcharged me twice in one month. I tried to demand a refund and they absolutely denied to give me my money back! Even though I told them I needed money for Christmas, they did not care whatsoever. One of the previous months they double charged me they said that the double charge would take care of my next month's membership dues. Well, they're very next month I got charged again and never received the credit from the previous month of being double charged. This is a money trap! They want your bank information and debit card information and will charge both simultaneously! I definitely do not recommend! I would give negative five stars if that were an option.
I already reviewed the broken arrow location poorly because every time I’ve tried to spray tan there, it is down. I have had the top tier plan at Crunch since they opened the Tulsa location (Jan 2023) even though I haven’t been able to use any of the benefits of it in well over a year because I don’t have children to use childcare, their spray tan beds have been down every time I’ve tried, and I work during the times of the fitness classes offered on the highest plan. I’ve called and left messages to get a call back to change my plan previously and no one ever calls back. I finally got a live person today, and was told there’s a $40 downgrade fee to go down a level. Truly insane. Especially because I haven’t used any of the benefits this past year at all. The person on the phone was very kind and even asked management (without me asking) to see if they could waive the fee and management said no. Staff has always been pleasant with me which is the only reason they get 2 stars.
I’ve been going here since 2023 without any Issues. Roland at the front is a good dude, most of the people who go there are good people. It is a busy gym and equipment bench/hack/leg machines/fly machine might be a bit difficult to grab at times (I go at 0500). The only criticism I have is the fitness classes in the morning. I don't understand why they have to blast loud music and take up a section of the gym; there’s a dedicated room for group fitness. If they'd utilize it for the classes this would be a five star review. On the days I don't bring headphones it’s extremely difficult to lock in while hearing someone scream at the top of their lungs and playing terrible music.
Love it. Come see me Sunday's at 3pm for Hot Pilates It will be your best core and more workout. 45min in a 100° studio. So good for you. Meet you on the mat
