Brought my Keeshond to have a bath & tidy with David and he did an INCREDIBLE job. My pup is a certified fluff-ball with a fairly thick double coat (and a bit of an attitude) and we’ve struggled finding a groomer that knows how to groom her to our preference. He listened to every note/specifics I had beforehand and I could not be happier with the results. Even better, my pup wasn’t overly stressed when I went to pick her up and wasn’t trying to run for the door which was a great sign that she was much more comfortable here than with her previous groomers. 10000/10 recommend for any double coated and regular pups! The staff behind the desk were also warm and welcoming. I’m happy to say we’ve officially found our new groomer!
This is my second time coming to Dashing Dawgs and I genuinely don’t think I’ll ever go anywhere else. From the very start, the experience felt calm, thoughtful, and it was honestly kind of emotional for me in the best way. Olie and I both have pretty intense separation anxiety, and the way Maki brought her in was so grounding and gentle!! I’ve never had a groomer handle that transition so smoothly. She asked so many questions to make sure every detail was exactly what I wanted, and even with my ridiculous level of specificity (I’m fully that person with the “Starbucks order” list LOL), she was smiling, laughing, and completely patient the whole time. Zero judgment, just genuinely caring and wanting to get it right. YES!! When I picked Olie up I honestly wanted to cry, tears of happiness, she looked like a perfect little dream bb angel she is!!! And one thing I’m still not over, Olie’s eye area!!!!!!! Hair always ends up in her eyes and I never even realized you could request anything specific there, but Maki asked what I wanted and helped me choose what would keep the hair out of her eyes, and made it feel so easy (with laughs the whole time). And the poodle fee, I always request, so cute looking little the clapping monkeys. (Always makes me laugh!) BUT this is the first time someone actually explained that it can be stressful for her, Maki showed me a video they recorded so I could see how calm she was, and then gave a thoughtful recommendation for next time: keep the poodle feet, just do them a bit longer so it’s less anxiety for her. That level of care, honesty, and detail is rare. You can tell they aren’t just trying to “get the groom done.” They’re paying attention to the dog in front of them and adjusting with real expertise and compassion. I left feeling so grateful because Olie wasn’t just cute, every dog I saw there was, and they were all smiling happy!!! She was clearly well cared for, and not only her. I didn’t take photos right after the appointment (kicking myself), but even the pictures from almost a week later — her hair is still sitting perfectly and her face is still so tidy and clean. That has literally never happened for us before. If you’re picky, if your dog is anxious, or if you just want someone who actually gives a damn and treats your baby like their own, this is the place. Dashing Dawgs deserves EVERY bit of recognition!!!!!!!!! Thank you Maki (and the whole team) for taking such amazing care of my little girl!!!!!!!
We had a great experience! We took our Whoodle puppy in for grooming. She been to the groomers once before but this time needed a shave due to extensive matting of her fur. We weren't sure what to expect but were given the info and rationale beforehand and were very happy with the results! Yume took very good care of her and I would highly recommend Dashing Dawgs for your grooming needs.
Yume is absolutely amazing! She’s not just a groomer — she truly cares about the pets she works with. You can immediately tell how passionate and professional she is. My pet always comes back looking fantastic, calm, and happy, which speaks volumes about the kind of experience Yume provides. She’s gentle, patient, and takes the time to make sure everything is done perfectly. I feel completely at ease leaving my pet in her care. I have trusted my dogs (past and present) to Dashing Dawgs. Maki is my go-to groomer, but they’re all amazing and caring people. Maki was incredible to my dog, Ross Geller. After every visit she would take photos of him for me, also take videos to show issues/concerns, and showed him so much love. My current dog, Joey, is a rescue and more skittish and she is so patient - even opting to try new ways to blowdry him or cut his nails to support his nature. I feel so confident that my dogs are met with incredible care when they go to Dashing Dawgs and Maki - thank you!
