I started personal training here because I wanted to work out in a more traditional way instead of following YouTube videos that weren’t giving me results. Tyler focuses on building a sustainable, active lifestyle instead of chasing the “Insta-fit” look. That really helped me shift my focus from appearance to strength and what my body can actually do. I’ve also learned proper form, so I finally feel confident doing workouts on my own and am excited to keep getting stronger. Tyler not only taught me the right techniques but also changed how I see fitness. Highly recommend him if you want to improve your quality of life through exercise!
Tyler honest to goodness changed my life. In ten sessions with him, I went from being completely dependent on others (i.e. group fitness, trainers, etc) to being a confident improvisational and independent exerciser. This is a big deal for me and means that I now exercise most days, regardless of whether I have time to make it to a gym or class. I am stronger and more mindful of my body as a result of working with Tyler, as well as more certain that I will remain in a reasonable and enjoyable relationship with exercise the rest of my life.
Tyler has been my personal trainer for nearly a year, including multiple extensions, meeting 2-3 per week. I'm 60 and he is providing me with training to improve my strength and overall fitness. I really like Tyler's approach, which is about results (not drama). One-on-one at a scheduled time is what works best for me. He provides excellent training, solid fitness advice and welcome encouragement. He's flexible on scheduling and schedule changes. I have had great experiences with the one on one training at the gym. Tyler is great with communication and helping you to learn how to do work outs that are easy, effective, and safe. It is a very comfortable environment and I would and have recommended this facility to many people. Tyler's philosophy on working out to feel good and healthy is one that I totally agree with. Also, he clearly cares about about every person that comes in. If you are thinking about finding a personal trainer or a better work out routine definitely come here!
I have been training with Tyler at Focal Point Training for a few months now and have never felt more confident about achieving my fitness goals than I do now! Tyler’s one-on-one approach focusing on simple exercises with basic equipment, paired with a “good enough”/“quit while you are ahead” philosophy, has me feeling safe, secure, strong, and confident - not only in the changes I am seeing to my body, but in my ability to take what I learn with him and do my own effective workouts at home. I would highly recommend him to help you make easy, lasting, and effective changes to your fitness routine.
