Such a wonderful studio. I practiced here well before and during my pregnancy and look forward to returning to the studio soon. The teachers are excellent and there's a ton of class variety. If you're looking for prenatal yoga - Kristine's class is amazing! If you're looking for a vinyasa practice, Jessica and Ashley's classes are fantastic!
If you are pregnant- you MUST try Kristine’s prenatal class on Sunday mornings. I started with her weekly from about 20 weeks pregnant till birth. I have never done yoga before this or with my previous pregnancy, and I truly believe this weekly class improved how my body felt during pregnancy and directly helped my labor as well. Kristine is a great teacher- all the classes were different and it was a great way to reset and start the week. She’s so calming and supportive for each mom. I also enjoyed seeing each mama’s progress throughout the weeks during pregnancy all the way till birth. Such a fun community to be a part of!
The only consistent thing I did during my pregnancy was Sunday mornings with Kristine in prenatal yoga class! The class was a great way to prepare my body & mind for labour! Kristine always welcomed me to class with a smile and made me feel part of the studio from the start of my time at Gud yoga! I highly recommend if you’re pregnant to check out this class. I can’t wait to get back to the studio postpartum. Gud yoga is a beautiful space to practice & a gem in Norfolk.
I was in search for a yoga studio that would allow me to grow in my practice with a friendly team of instructors with a calming/welcoming environment and that was exactly what GUD Yoga provided! I am so happy to have planted roots here and I swear, I look forward to every class!!! 💗
GUD Yoga is such a great place that I’m so happy to have found! It is an extremely inviting environment. I immediately felt comfortable when I started coming to classes here. There are classes for every level, and in each class they stress to do what you are capable of, and insure you know that that is okay! I’ve take many pause and precision classes and no two have been the same. Ashley has hired amazing staff that are knowledgeable and compassionate. I have never been a joiner in my life but I am happy to have found a place that I am happy to come to and join in. GUD Yoga has done wonders for my mental and physical health.
