This is a great gym with no fluff. If you want to get in, get your workout done, and not wait for machines, I highly recommend coming here.
Five stars isn’t enough. I love Hollywood Boxing Gym. I’ve been torching 1300 calories a session—no joke. The classes are challenging and high-energy, the sparring is intense (in the best way), and the community is top-notch. Everyone’s friendly, supportive, and there to put in the work. Whether you’re training for a fight or just trying to get in killer shape, this place delivers.
I love this gym so much. It opens up at 6 am when I normally train. It's not like those other gyms that everybody needs to show off. It reminds me of a Powerhouse gym or a Golds gym. Check this place out it's amazing
I was sick of how crowded LA fitness was and decided to cancel. I had always walked by Hollywood gym and it looked like a nice little older gym with very few people working out in it. I decided to give it a try and paid the $20 to work out for the day and my experience wasn’t great. It was about 75° outside at 8 PM and walking into the gym It was noticeably hotter, at least 80° plus which I started sweating before I even started the workout. I paid the money and asked the front desk attendant if there was Wi-Fi access in the gym and he said there was not. The Wi-Fi access isn’t a dealbreaker, but I use my really old iPhone SE (with no Sim card)as kind of a iPod so it was just something I noted. I then went into the locker room to change and noticed that the entire locker room smelled like marijuana. I started working out, which was uncomfortable because of the heat and kind of eerie because there was hardly anybody there and asked a couple of people if they ever turn on the AC. The people I asked informed me that the gym either does not have AC or it’s never turned on. Then when I was leaving, I walked up to the front desk to ask, a couple of questions where two people were waiting with no front desk attendant to be found… maybe we were smoking pot in the locker room…? I then left with the clear impression that I would have to continue my search for a new gym. Honestly if they turned on the air conditioning and lowered their price to $35 a month for just the weights with no BS corporate money shenanigans, I think a lot more people would join. As it stands right now it’s too expensive for what it is and too hot to comfortably workout.
I have been a member for last 2 months and like it much. They have good quality work out equipment and a lot cardio machines too. Parking is great. There’ is always plenty equipment free anytime of day. The locker and bathroom facilities are nice and easy to get in and timely. Hours are great and it’s open the latest and the most hours anywhere in West Hollywood and Hollywood area. I was at 24 prior but have changed 2 here. I like working here now including hours are much better at Hollywood Gym. Hollywood Gym is better is and way better the Planet Fitness and has much better quality gym equipment There is no contract is just pay for month. Try iHollywood Gym out:)
