The atmosphere was great lots of people talking while waiting on their food the night before New Year 2026. I ordered a vanilla shake it was good but I noticed they mixed some chocolate in at the bottom...oops. However my family enjoyed but for me I am not a smashed, flat top burger person...if Im gonna eat a burger I need it fat and juice right off a grill. The fries ..just get new ones. Not a fan.
I’d been craving this hype ever since I saw Hollywood celebrities munching on it after the Oscars at one of their famous locations. They say the secret lies in their signature sauce or the way they fry and grill the buns and meat — but this glam fast-food spot, adored by Hollywood A-listers, didn’t make my list. For me, In-N-Out is completely Out. The hamburger was fine but nothing special. I couldn’t tell if it was supposed to be a smash burger or just a classic grill-style one. Their “signature” sauce didn’t stand out with any particular flavor — it tasted like a mild chipotle aioli without the spice, just mixed with onions. And the fries? I could swear they came straight from a supermarket frozen bag, boiled in a chunk of oil. Bland, regular-cut, and completely forgettable. Just like a starlight, In-N-Out dazzled me for a blink and faded just as quickly, leaving nothing memorable to rave about. There are far better burger joints on the West Coast than falling into this California fast-foodie trap. That said, I’ll give credit where it’s due — the service was truly A-list. The host made sure every order was on time and the space spotless, while the kitchen and cashier crew projected those warm Cali smiles that made the experience at least pleasant, even if the food didn’t live up to the legend.
A decent In-N-Out location I’ve been visiting since high school (due to the proximity of music venue SOMA and the Sports Arena). It’s typically pretty clean, orderly, and easy to get in and out of (no pun intended). I came in with two friends recently, ordered a cheeseburger meal with a fry lite well. I also got a lite pink lemonade. Everything was cooked pretty well! It wasn’t greasy, they did the fry cook properly, and the lemonade wasn’t off-kilter in any way. I’m only leaving 4 stars because it’s fast food. I get that In-N-Out is good, and I have rated a location 5 stars before, but that’s because it was an exceptional experience. In-N-Out is good, but it’s not *that* good. It’s just the most consistent burger at its price point—which is a serious accomplishment, especially at the level of expansion the brand has gone through over the past decade. But it’s just fast food.
The food was fresh and it was OK. I really like how they make everything fresh in front of you. That’s awesome. I really like that. What was disappointing as the crowd out the door. I understand that places are busy, but there was absolutely no seating inside or outside. They need more seating outside. They definitely need to figure something out with the seating. Personally, I would not return. We ended up sitting on the curb.
As you approach this In-N-Out, it's more than just a stop for food; it's an immersion into a meticulously crafted experience. The iconic, perfectly shaped palm trees stand as proud sentinels, their silhouettes against the California sun promising a taste of tradition. The location itself is a testament to care, immaculately maintained with a bold, bright sign that doesn't just display a name but showcases a legacy of quality. From the first bite as a child to the present day, the consistency and freshness of In-N-Out have always been a hallmark, but this location elevates it further. The "Flying Dutchman," often underrated, is perfected here. The patties are grilled to a juicy, flavorful ideal, embraced by cheese that melds them into a single, harmonious bite. The sautéed onions, with their carefully extracted juices, add a layer of complexity that enhances the burger's already impeccable consistency. Of course, no visit is complete the timeless Double-Double,Single Cheeseburger Animal-style, paired with Animal Style fries. It creates a symphony of flavors that dances on the palate. What truly sets this In-N-Out apart is the palpable dedication of the staff and the owner's unwavering commitment to quality. It's an experience worth returning for, not just for the food, but to acknowledge the passion and pride that goes into every order.
