When I was wondering around The Machine Shop, there was a soft glowing reflective goo near the back sort of by the bathrooms. It was making a sort of humming noise and I couldn’t help but feel drawn to it. The closer I got I realized it was a portal and I have always wanted to see one in real life. I went through it and ended up on this new planet, there was nothing but snow and ice. Luckily the portal went two ways other wise we would have been stuck forever. Keep an eye out for it, I guess people say it’s not open often and when it is open it’s not open very long at all.
I love photographing weddings at the Machine Shop! I own Jeff Dose Photography and get to shoot weddings at lots of different venues, but what sets the Machine Shop apart is its unique mix of industrial and modern aesthetic. The massive ceilings and huge windows give it a larger-than-life feeling when you enter the venue. When you consider also the venue's proximity to St. Anthony Main and Stone Arch, it's a venue that is truly hard to beat!
My husband and I got married here last week and we could NOT be happier with the Machine Shop & everyone who works there. The space itself is absolutely stunning and serves as a great blank canvas for however you choose to decorate it. Every staff we encountered was organized, timely, professional, and beyond helpful. (Special S/O to David)!! We had so many guests comment on the venue. We also loved how we could bring in any vendor we wanted! This space will NOT disappoint you, book it!! Best day of our lives @ Machine Shop!
The machine shop is SUCH a stunning wedding venue, we had the honor of shooting a wedding here last fall and all I can say is wow. It's incredible and truly you can dream up so much here in terms of wedding design! As a local husband and wife team that offers both photo and video, we hope to be back again soon!
Attended the valentines night craft fair here for a date night and it was such a lovely experience. Coat check in the front, speciality cocktails available. On the first floor there were various vendors selling wood decor, jewelry, body and skin care, candles and even pastries. On the second floor even more vendors along with a tarot reader. The space wasn’t too packed so we weren’t bumping into other people. Elevators and stairs easily marked and accessible. The only downside is this building is located downtown there was a parking lot next to the building but it was small and filled up. Street parking is available to pay but it’s free after 6pm but it fill up quickly so you may have to walk about a block like we did.
