Stopped in to get some pics. Nice collection of string instruments. Not a huge place. The definitely offer instructions here, as I sam the instructor going into the room with a student.
Perfect example of why to support a local music shop. Stop by and check them out! Not only a fully equipped guitar store, but the music teachers are talented, friendly, big personalities, encouraging. It feels like family spending Saturdays there with my son taking guitar with Gabe, I take piano with Zane. It's a bustling place with regulars always passing back and forth to lessons, guitar shoppers, often even a velvet eared dog or two hanging out. My son noted for the review: 6 out of 5 stars. Over almost a year of guitar lessons Gabe has really gotten to know him, has taught him how to practice and improve. They have great rapport and countless inside jokes. Today the owner and teachers hosted a recital for youth of all ages at a space with excellent acoustics at The University of St. Thomas. It was an amazing first concert experience for my son. He was one of several who performed their own original songs. I hadn't taken any consistent piano lessons since the 90s. But Zane met me where I was and over the first few sessions helped me better practice a piece I performed in a contest, taught me how not to be tense in the hands. That changed everything. He's helping me figure out playing from lead sheets and improvising, something I could never get from a book to that degree. Go see the shop's house band if you have the opportunity. Check out their Events page. Monthly there are free classes for students - we liked Drum Fills and Guitar Maintenance to name a few. Highly recommend stopping by to anyone who wants to dig in and learn an instrument!
I can’t thank Jordan enough for his help with placing an order for a custom made Flamenco Blanca Guitar from a true master of the craft, Francisco Navarro, from Mexico! Jordan was incredibly patient with all my queries and requests during the entire process, double checking everything with Francisco himself to avoid any surprises and set the right expectations, very friendly, thorough and knowledgeable, making sure everything was handled smoothly. He also took extra care with the packaging and shipping to Canada - especially during the coldest month of February which can be detrimental to a hand made Flamenco Guitar, a delicate piece of art, ensuring the guitar arrived safely which meant a lot to me given how precious the instrument is. He also went above and beyond even after everything was already done, that’s rare. Thank you again Jordan for a truly pleasant experience.

This is an amazing place! I bought a guitar from the shop not long ago. Three weeks later, I called in and told them that I did not really like the guitar. Instead of asking what was wrong with the guitar, they asked what would make me happy. They ordered me a different guitar exactly to my liking right after the phone call. Within a week, the guitar came in and they even set it up for me nicely with no extra charge**** I’ve never had that kind of customer service before******* Jordan and his team are awesome. Best experience!!
