An overall excellent dining experience with food that was deeply flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. We started with the Veg Manchow Soup, which was rich, aromatic, and comforting—beautifully balanced with depth and warmth. The Chicken 65 Bao was a standout: soft, pillowy buns paired with tender, well-seasoned chicken that had a satisfying crisp and bold flavor. The Triple Szechwan Fried Chicken Rice was enjoyable, but milder than expected for a Szechwan-style dish and lacked the heat typically associated with it. The amount of chicken in the dish was also quite minimal, which was surprising given the name. The Mango Tango drink was refreshing and vibrant, perfectly balancing sweetness and fruitiness, and paired well with the meal. Service was excellent throughout—our server, Jia, was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which elevated the entire experience. Despite the minor shortcomings, the quality of the food, atmosphere, and service left a strong impression. I would definitely return and try more from the menu.
Mumbai Bites is an upscale and truly amazing restaurant with a great ambiance that instantly sets the mood. The food is awesome, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. What really made the experience exceptional was the service — absolutely mind-blowing. Our server, Ash, was outstanding very attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Her professionalism and warm hospitality added a personal touch to the dining experience right from selecting a table to figuring out the best dish of restaurant. Overall, Mumbai Bites delivers on food, atmosphere, and service, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience.
We recently visited Mumbai Bites in Calgary and tried a variety of dishes, including the American Chaupseu (chicken and veg), Bao Paneer 65, Chicken Tikka, and Bao Chicken 65. The flavors overall were really good, and we especially enjoyed the baos and the chicken tikka. Our only issue was that the American Chaupseu was quite oily for our taste. We mentioned this to the staff, and they handled it extremely well — they replaced it with Hakka Schezwan, which was absolutely amazing. We really appreciated how professionally and promptly they addressed the concern. Great food, excellent customer service, and a place that clearly cares about customer experience. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.
If you’re a true Mumbaikar, you’ll love this place. The triple Schezwan rice was perfectly on point and super flavourful, and honestly so appetizing that we forgot to take a picture. The lollipop was good too, just not as spicy as we usually like. The Manchow soup is an absolute must try. And a special shoutout to Damy for the wonderful service she really made the experience even better.
Blown Away by the Fusion and Flavor at Mumbai Bites! What an amazing experience! We tried a wonderful mix of dishes and every single one was a hit. The Zafrani Chicken Tikka was tender, perfectly marinated, and full of rich saffron flavor—a must-order appetizer. For the main courses, the Chicken Bhadadi with the accompanying Naan was savory and absolutely delicious, and the Burnt Garlic Fried Rice was incredibly fragrant and a fantastic pairing. Don't skip dessert! The Gulab Jamun with Rice Pudding was the perfect sweet finish—rich, warm, and comforting. Mumbai Bites truly stands out in Calgary for its creative menu and fresh, high-quality ingredients. Highly recommend visiting this spot for a great meal!
