Excellent Sunday brunch spot! The breakfast tacos were packed with flavor and the American breakfast was hearty, classic, and perfectly cooked. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. Great atmosphere and friendly service definitely a place we’ll be coming back to.
Went here before the Vienna performance. Beautiful restaurant. I ordered the egg white omelet with veggies and Swiss cheese. Came with toast and strawberry jam. My sister and brother in law both ordered the breakfast biscuit sandwich and mother ordered chicken sandwich with fries. Their breakfast sandwiches came on English muffins. When they asked about it, turns out the chef wasn't aware the menu changed to biscuits. Mom liked her sandwich and my potatoes and toast were good. Jam excellent. The omelet was too rubbery because of the Swiss cheese so after a few bites I was done with it. Four meals, three coffees, and a sweet tea for $100. About right. I would go back and try it again because they did have a lot of things that sounded delicious. I dropped them off at valet entrance and used the parking garage on the block just across the street to the West. it cost $3.00 so well worth the walk across the street.
This restaurant had very good reviews so we were very excited to visit for brunch. We were asked if a high top was ok, said no and given a booth which is great. The server was not very nice, came up multiple times to ask if we were ready to order and then didn’t inform us they were out of the cinnamon rolls and salmon toast bruschetta until we ordered even though he had multiple chances to tell us while we were looking over the menu. We got a Bloody Mary which lacked flavor and was watery, would recommend against getting that. We ordered the buffalo wings, which were fine, but tasted more barbecue than buffalo, maybe a mix. We prefer a classic buffalo so this was disappointing. Then we got our food, my husband ordered the steak and eggs, which was $35, and the ribeye was medium instead of medium rare, but was extremely thin (a centimeter, picture included) and not marbled like a normal ribeye. I have never spent so much on a. Steak to receive such a cheap and disappointing steak, I would absolutely not recommend that either. Longhorn has great steaks that you can get for 30-40 that would blow this out of the water. The nachos were good tho. Even tho the steak was overcooked, unfortunately the waiter never stopped by for 20 minutes, then still didn’t ask us if the food was good. Louisville has a fantastic food scene, so if you are looking for a GREAT brunch spot, then absolutely do not go here. Atmosphere was cool tho.
While we were in Louisville for an event, we decided to try Porch Kitchen & Bar for a Sunday night dinner, and it was a fantastic choice. Everything — the food, service, and atmosphere — was top-notch. There were four of us in our group, and we ordered a variety of dishes including the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, white cheddar grits, double wagyu burger and fries, and the shrimp & grits. Every plate was absolutely delicious, beautifully seasoned, and perfectly prepared. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, the sides were comforting and creamy, and the wagyu burger was juicy and rich. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Our server, Nicole, took excellent care of us. She was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails and glasses of wine, and each drink was well-made and complemented the meal perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting — relaxed but still stylish — making it the perfect place to wind down after a busy weekend. We had a wonderful dining experience and will absolutely return the next time we’re in Louisville. Highly recommend Porch Kitchen & Bar for anyone looking for great food, great drinks, and great service!
Awesome spot downtown. The ambiance is classy but casual and would be a great spot to stop in for a quick bite or plan a nice date night. The menu is small but has a great variety. Our waiter, Jared, was fantastic and super knowledgeable about the menu. All of the food was fantastic. I’d definitely recommend the cornbread appetizer (pro tip: order it with double butter) and the southern fried chicken.
