Went here for a work holiday party and had a blast. The staff was amazing and kind and very attentive. The food was delicious, we had prime rib, crusted chicken and shrimp with salad, veggies and Mac n cheese and everything was delicious. The creamy horseradish sauce was really good. The bowling spot was amazing, had the whole place to ourselves. We also had some pingpong and pinball games as well. Totally recommend for a fun night with a group.
Mark this with tempered patience: The service here is a game of chance, much depending on who stands watch that day. At times thou art met by one well informed and capable. At others, by a soul adrift. Ask simple questions such as when they open, whether half the hall be closed, or if bowling be permitted, and thou mayest watch them vanish for five long minutes, only to return bearing answers of little use. The food, however, gives no great offense. It is bar fare, plain and predictable, and if thou settest thy expectations low, thou shalt not be disappointed. The drinks are likewise serviceable, and during happy hour, quite agreeable for the price. In short, manage thy hopes wisely, and the place will serve thee well enough.
I have been here several times with my husband for date night. We play the giant Scrabble game and have a relaxing evening. Last night we decided to go for the New Years eve party. Totally different experience. They were clearly understaffed. We ordered nachos and received them cold. No napkins, no forks. When I was finally able to get the attention of a staff member, we were given bar napkins. This was about 20 minutes into having our nachos. What I'm most upset about though is the complimentary drink ticket that came with our purchase of the event ticket. It was for an alcoholic drink. The event details stated that the first was free and then more would be $10 each. I don't drink alcohol. I asked if I could get a non alcoholic Strawberry Palmer instead. They are $7. I was told I could not swap it out. I had to pay for my non alcoholic drink. My husband had to pay for his diet coke as well instead of using his ticket. I am unsure why we could not get cheaper drinks for free instead. I was just told they couldn't do it. I have never been somewhere that basically encourages someone to drink the free alcohol or pay for juice. I had also declined the jello shots being handed out at the door. So if you are sober, keep in mind that the Punchbowl is not where you'll want to spend NewYears unless you want to pay extra to stay sober. At least I have our unused drink tickets to commemorate another sober New Years. 🥳 Edit to add: I appreciate the reply and will reach out. Serving non alcoholic drinks in exchange would be awesome and we'd be happy to spend another New Years eve there if that is available. Cider instead of the champagne toast we declined would have also been nice. Thank you for the reply.
SO MUCH FUN. The food is delicious, the drinks fantastic. The place is gorgeous and ginormous. Darts, bowling, pool, games galore. HAPPY HOUR all day Monday!!!!!!!!!!! You have to go
I visited Punch Bowl during a business conference, and we were invited. Located on the 3rd floor of a mall, the ambiance in there was very nice. The food was good but.... not enough for all the group. I didn't like the margarita I had, but my server was super nice. It's a place that's worth the visit and there many nice stores below.
