Went in to buy guitar strings for a new electric guitar. The associate replaced the string and tuned the guitar in about 5 minutes. Also, he explained tuning and basics of restringing to us noobs and was really helpful. This is a drive, but will be my go to from now on.
South Texas Music Mart is the best. My son is in mid swing with UIL band competition . He lost a screw to his trigger trombone and wanted me to take the instrument in for service. Unfortunately we couldn't take it in for service cause of his competitions. But the all the guys working at at South Texas Music Mart made things happen for my kid. This guy's went above and beyond and personally delivered the miss screw to the school and got him all set for the weekend competition. Thank you guys for all your help. Very much appreciated
South Texas Music Mart is awesome. I am a sax and flute player, and have been playing professionally for many years. Scott, their saxophone repairman, and Matt, their flute man, are the best. Whenever I take a horn for repair or adjustment, I am comfortable knowing that the work will be high quality, and that they will take good care of my instruments. 👍👍👍👍
Highly recommend this place!! Great business ethics, friendly staff that is very knowledgeable, and is full of people extremely passionate about music. I came in for a second opinion on a simple tune up on my alto sax, I was told by another business it needed hundreds in repairs. Their saxophonist kept it 100 percent real and honest. He didn’t upsell or exaggerate, he told me exactly what he can do and why. As well as why the previous full rekey I was told I needed was unnecessary. On top of that when I came to actually pick it up I decided I wanted an upgrade for a jazz mouthpiece. A ~400 dollar Otto link 5# caught my eye immediately. Rather than go for the sale they told me very explicitly what the possible negative implications are for someone just relearning sax with a mouthpiece like that are. Unbeknownst to me this mouthpiece is the same that Coltrane used, absolutely blessed . 10/10 great store
Bryan was great! He was very patient with us. This is our first time renting to own from South Texas Music Mart. The whole process was great. He explained to us the different types of clarinets , the different mouth pieces. They even worked with my daughters school to create a supply bundle with everything that the music teacher required for each instrument. This was amazing. We got everything we needed all at one visit. I couldn't be more grateful. Payment plans are amazing. I highly recommend speaking with Bryan for your music needs.
