Very relaxing experience during the holiday weekend. My sister and I both did the thermal circuit as well as massages. The staff was very accommodating and kind despite how busy they were the day we came, thank you
Horrible spa if you were looking to actually have a luxurious, quiet relaxing time. I decided to try this spa since I love this hotel and Maggie Oakes is one of my favorite restaurants. However it is definitely the worst spa I've ever been to. First, the entrance to the spa was tricky and inconvenient and was only accessible from a small random alley behind the restaurant. One of the 2 girls at the reception was nice and took time to give us a tour to the facility while the other girl looked as if she did not want to be there other than to charge us at upon entering. It was very small and other than the average thermal experience, there was nothing special about this place. The claimed "Himalayan-salt room" was nothing but a small room with fake marble and some light room to hang out, it was ridiculous it felt like a scam. The worst part of this experience was that there was a group of people who came after us and they were being super loud everywhere. I could hear them screaming and laughing in the thermal showers while I was in the common relaxing room. Me and my partner tried to ignore it but we ended up having to warn the staff. And despite that, it continued on for hours and the staff did not seem to have done anything about it. Never again, I'll stick with Strom Spa.
It was not worth it! The salt room just feels like a regular room — the salt on the walls doesn’t seem to work anymore. You don’t feel anything at all. The cold room wasn’t even that cold, and there’s no cold pool, so after the sauna you have to take a shower and then go into the cold room just to feel slightly chilled. The steam room smelled awful and felt super gross. I have to say, this was the worst spa I’ve ever been to. If you want a much better experience not too far away, go to Bota Bota instead! There isn’t even a timer in the sauna, so you have no idea how long you’ve been in there. At least the staff were really nice — one star for them, zero for the actual spa. There’s a lot of room for improvement.
The thermal experience was relaxing and the perfect way to spend an afternoon. Robes, towels and slippers are provided as well as clean bathrooms and showers with toiletries. Receptionist was very friendly.
Amazing experience at the affordable thermal circuit. After enjoying the nice steaming room and sauna room, there was a super calming salt room to relax. I almost fell asleep everytime I lay in the salt room. They also provide locker and shower area for your visit. As you can see, the locker is big enough to stuff in all my winter coats and bag. Bath rob and towels are provided. The shower was nice with shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided, including hair dryer. I was pretty satisfied but if you're having dry skin and needed lotion after shower, remember to bring your own as they didn't have lotion provided in the changing room. Front desk are always super friendly and patience everytime I called for appointments or questions. I have been returning from time to time for the thermal circuit as well as massage packages. Great service here.
