Very disappointed with The Skin Lab. I booked and pre paid over the phone for a dermaplaning and hydrafacial combo — a treatment I have personally had many times at this clinic and decided to book the exact same service for my mother. When she arrived, she was met with a hostile and dismissive attitude. She was told that they have never performed that treatment before and that they don’t offer it, despite the fact that it was clearly booked and prepaid and something I have received there multiple times. She was then told they couldn’t do the treatment at all. Instead of being a relaxing and enjoyable experience, it turned into an uncomfortable and upsetting one. The interaction felt gaslighting and unprofessional, creating a very “mean girl” environment rather than a welcoming, client-focused space. The receptionist an older woman with blonde hair was particularly disappointing in how this was handled. I cannot believe The Skin Lab would treat clients this way. Sadly, we will not be returning after this experience. What should have been a lovely moment turned into something genuinely unpleasant and unacceptable.
I had such a wonderful experience at The Skin Lab. The space itself is absolutely beautiful. Very calm, welcoming, and immaculately presented, which instantly puts you at ease. The entire team is incredible, but I was lucky enough to be looked after by Jemma. She took the time to thoroughly explain every step of the procedure and made sure I fully understood everything before we began. The level of care and attention she showed was exceptional. It’s so clear that Jemma is genuinely passionate about skin and truly cares about achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients. I felt completely comfortable, informed, and well looked after. I couldn’t recommend The Skin Lab and Jemma more highly.
I visited this clinic on November 24th at 14:45 to purchase Skinceuticals products, and the experience was very disappointing. I requested a proper tax invoice with an ABN, itemised products, and GST — all basic legal requirements in Australia. The staff member who processed my payment showed clear irritation and provided very poor customer service. Her attention to detail was equally disappointing — the ABN on my invoice was written incorrectly, and the invoice lacked GST information. I have attached the bill your staff gave me, and you can clearly see the incorrect ABN number and no GST information. When staff overlook such basic details, it naturally raises concerns: if they cannot pay attention to something as simple as an invoice, can customers truly feel confident trusting them with their face and skin treatments? These are fundamental compliance requirements. Why is a professional clinic unable to issue a correct invoice for a simple purchase? This raises serious concerns about transparency and basic competency. Black Friday may be busy, but it does not excuse poor service or neglecting legal obligations. Management should review this incident and address both compliance and customer service issues urgently. I hope the clinic provides clarification and makes real improvements for future customers.
Have just had BBL HEROic + HALO Full Face & Neck laser with Miriam. I was a little apprehensive about the procedure but Miriam was incredibly knowledgeable and had a lovely approach. During the treatment she kept checking in making sure I was comfortable and asking if I had any concerns. She guided me through the process step by step. Would highly recommend Miriam and The Skin Lab. Would give 6 stars if this was an option!
I had a Hydrafacial, BBL & HIFU Ultraformer with Jemma and I am so impressed, my skin feels amazing and I already see a difference! The staff are so lovely, welcoming and made me feel super comfortable throughout. Jemma did an amazing job at explaining all the treatments and ensuring I understood what she was doing and made me feel so comfortable throughout each treatment. Jemma is super professional and knowledgeable, she helped me understand more about my skin and what would work best for me. I would highly recommend The Skin Lab for any of your skins needs! The view is also a great bonus 😊
