Everything you could ever want in a wine shop and more! I go there for Dansk Viking Blod mead (the only place in town that carries all the flavors), and it kinda reminds me of Blockbuster Video...there are handwritten suggestions by the staff in each section. So cool!
I absolutely love the staff at Total Wine. They always know about every wine I ask about. They give perfect pairing recommendations. I can tell they love what they do and they love wine. I'm an Uber driver, and I brought someone to your establishment to buy something. It turns out that, since I usually go to this place, I went in to help my passenger since we were coming from another establishment that was closed. I told her about your establishment, and we came. The cashier asked me for my ID. I explained why I was asking for it if she showed hers, that I used Uber, and that she was my customer. The cashier asked her manager and told her that if I didn't have my ID, they wouldn't give it to her, even if my customer showed it and I could prove I used Uber and had come just to help. I showed her a picture of my ID, and she said no. Well, it turns out my customer couldn't make the purchase, and we had to go to Food Lion, and that's where we found everything. In this case, the owner only lost because he lost money, and he lost a customer and future people that I could bring.
I have just placed an online order and the website is super easy to use and my wine is to be delivered this afternoon. I DO NOT like that you are forced to add a tip to the order. There is no option to exclude a tip. You can add a custom tip, but it is mandatory to tip the driver. This is bad business practice. The driver will be tipped upon the service they provide. I cannot accurately decide on a tip amount prior to them actually doing their job. This is akin to demanding that I tip a server at a restaurant prior to ordering my meal…
