I had so much fun at the class with Alexis, I have been describing my experience with friends as pain free yoga. I look forward to making this part of my weekly routine. Alexis helped me feel comfortable and educated on the movements, correcting me in areas that I am aware of unbalances. For my first pilates experience I am thankful to have come to Truve!
As chefs, we spend long days working on our feet which leads to all kinds of pains. Alison makes working out fun and approachable, and in just a few months we’ve noticed huge improvements in how we feel and move! Plus they have all kinds of classes for everyone. Can’t recommend her and her gym enough.
I don’t usually like gyms, but Truve completely changed my mind. There are several floors of workout space with all kinds of equipment and classes, so it never gets boring. Everything is clean, well-maintained and it never feels crowded. The trainers all seem really knowledgeable and fun to work with. I love Alison—she’s the only person who has been able to motivate me to do resistance training for the first time in my life! I can recommend Truve enough!!
I’ve had a great experience with Truve. Specifically with my personal trainers Kaitlyn and SJ! They have been super accommodating to my schedule and even optimized the workouts to match my goals. They even assign me homework through their app. As a beginner in fitness I have seen results since I started this journey in January!
Super welcoming studio located in the heart of downtown Oakland. Allison, the owner, is great at matching personal trainers with clients, and matching clients with each other for small group training. The classes are challenging and the clients are diverse. If you are looking to build community and have a great workout - this is the place. As someone who works downtown - I love that I can workout in the morning, shower at the studio, and go straight to my office.
