We did the board and train for 2 weeks and Macie is a different dog now. We can come in whenever we need to get extra help for the rest of her life which sold us. She lays like this all day with busy toddlers and doesn’t bat an eye. Worth it x10!
We completed the puppy kindergarten course at Unleashed Academy, and having never done a formal dog training with prior animals, this was such an informative and amazing experience. Despite my chocolate lab not passing some of the “challenges” perfectly, Mary and her trainer were so supportive and the environment was very positive. Knowing that I will need to keep up with the tools they have provided me, I am now very confident in the training process! Thank you, and I recommend them for any new puppy owners.
Matthew and Mary at Unleashed Academy have completely transformed life with my Airedale puppy, Ace. Ace is the sweetest, biggest dog — but his boundless energy was unmanageable. He was easily distracted, destructive, constantly on the go, jumping on people, mouthing everything, pushing open doors, and “boomeranging” commands. After completing the board-and-stay program, everything changed. I was given clear, practical maintenance tasks to continue at home, and since his return, Ace has become the best dog. His recall is solid, he holds his place command, he’s easily redirected, and he’s far more manageable in every setting. I can’t recommend this program enough — it’s truly an investment in your dog and your own peace of mind. Not only did Ace learn, but I learned so much about how to be a better dog owner and strategies to set my pup up for long-term success. Thank you, Matthew and Mary!
We truly can’t say enough good things about our experience at Unleashed Academy. We brought in our 5 month old French Bulldog Koza to Puppy Kindergarten — and to be honest, we were doing everything “wrong” before we got there. We treated her like a baby, weren’t consistent with training, and let her sleep in our bed. She was stubborn, and we were feeling overwhelmed. We didn’t just need training for her. We needed a reset for us. From the very first class, the trainer made us feel empowered and informed. She was incredibly knowledgeable and explained things in a way that actually made sense — not just “how” to do something, but “why” it works. She broke everything down in a way that felt simple and achievable. Even when we had a million questions, she never rushed us. Every behavior had a reason behind it, and every correction had purpose. The trainer can show us what to do and why, but without our follow-through and consistency, nothing changes. Because she’s stubborn by breed, we knew training wouldn’t be easy—but the right guidance made all the difference and we’re so grateful.
