Especially in the early mornings, I love this location. Friendly staff, very clean and with the change in how you pay for parking, I am super happy with making Downtown my home gym.
Completely not worth the price for a gym that’s no better than the YMCA, they offer corporate discounts that discount nothing, the price is the exact same they just give you a 30 dollar coupon off the sign up price. I have no idea how a gym can survive when they expect people to pay 75+ every month when the local gyms which offer the exact same experience is less than half that price.
Good gym not great… I pay 89 dollars which is the same price as the Chicago Sports Fitness Club which the two aren’t even comparable. Mind you that’s with my military discount. The gym just doesn’t offer enough to justify prices. I think because it’s a “club” they are able to charge these prices but honestly it’s not worth it. I just have no other options in terms of downtown or surrounding areas. Lack of equipment, lack of space, and the price just doesn’t make sense. It’s like a YMCA for adults
Disgusting locker rooms, I don’t think the inside of the lockers have been wiped out in YEARS! Showers also are disgusting and need a thorough scrubbing top to bottom! Seen some type of green snot in one of the showers for over two weeks this summer. I only come here because the location is close to home, I prefer every other WAC besides this one, and personally this one has the worse “culture” but what can you expect from downtown. 😂 Gym equipment is well maintained, and I get a great workout when it’s not super packed, when packed sometimes there no treadmills to be used at all. Downstairs lobby also has a great breakfast & lunch thats pretty nice when it’s quiet.
They make great use of the space despite it being smaller than the other WAC locations. Super convenient right in the middle of downtown and still has everything you need. Staff are always super nice and helpful. Everything is clean and looks new, overall good vibes.
