Before attending a recent concert at 1902 we read the reviews, what should we wear, what was the vibe, etc. I was surprised the review average was so low but now I get it. There is no room to actually dance at these concerts. We arrived early, we found a spot along the wall on the right side of the stage so we had a good view of the stage. We then stood there for like three hours before the headliner started. Shortly before the main act came on a ViP table arrived super late and they all sat on the back of the benches. Suddenly like 100 people couldn’t see because of this one incredibly rude VIP group. We spoke to Junior and he implied he had a plan to help us and then he wouldn’t make eye contact with us again. I wished he had just said there was nothing he could do because we stood around waiting for him to come back and he never did. The whole thing was a real bummer. That one table blocked it so like a hundred people couldn’t see the stage. Security kept saying the ViP people could do whatever they wanted - and I can see why I kept seeing the VIP people pouring Vodka into the Red Bull cans carried by the security team. So if you read these bad reviews - believe them. I wish we’d taken them more seriously and just skipped the concert. You couldn’t pay me to go back, not just because the issue happened but because Junior and the staff blew us off. Expecting to be able to see the stage, to see the performer you’re paying to see, should be a basic expectation regardless of being ViP or not. All we wanted was to be able to see the stage. Headliner came on and we joked that we briefly saw his ear between the people sitting on the backs of the benches. Never again.
The only good part about this venue are the nice couches upstairs lol Bouncers are wack. Almost didn’t let me in after accusing me I was too drunk, but we hadn’t been drinking so that was weird. It’s like they’re just looking for conflict or something. It’s a packed Saturday night and they staff ONE bartender upstairs?? Music sounded awful. No bass. No paper towels in the women’s restroom, and it’s not like they ran out because we pretty much got there when doors opened and there weren’t any paper towels then either. How do you call yourself upscale but lack the bare necessities? Also, FYI: they won’t serve you water unless you pay for it. If you want to see your favorite dj, the drive to the Concourse in Austin is well worth it to not have to experience this circus.
They're trying wayyy too hard. Not a fun vibe. There's super up tight. They tried to deny entry to my gf for being drunk, and we hadn't even been drinking. On top of everything, their sound system sucks. Sounds like a phone speaker. No bass. What gives??
Visited this club in October 2024 during an private party/event. As a European, I was genuinely impressed by the club’s interior design and the lighting effects. It was a fantastic experience overall. The staff were incredibly friendly, from the security team to the bartenders. I can definitely recommend this place to tourists looking for a great night out. We visit this club after Shakira's concert. We have lots of fun, the staff they were very caring, the DJ played very nice music! Drinks pretty good! Affordable prices! Oh, and the lady in the girls's restrooms she have a lot of perfumes! Love her!
